Artist Statement

This project was really fun to do in my opinion. I really loved taking the pictures on the film camera, and having that vintage feeling. The hardest part of the film was being able to deal with light and dark values. Especially with the Twist Cone Picture. That is mainly my fault because I wanted to specifically have a picture at night of Twist Cone with their lights on. On the digital perspective, I had fun taking pictures of a model with the sense of location. Making the main focus on my model, along with some blurred subjects in the background of the picture with either buildings or trees. My favorite picture from the digital is Image_8936, mainly because of the feeling of laughter that I was able to capture and the sense of distance the buildings have. That image and majority of the others were taken down town Aberdeen, SD. My second favorite of the digital images is the image of my boyfriend and my pets.
